Nestled at the foot of Kandel Mountain, Waldgasthof Altersbach offers a cozy escape filled with culinary delights. While my family enjoyed the snowy outside, I dove into the restaurant's offerings. The menu showcased specialties from the Black Forest and Baden regions, each dish reflecting a thoughtful selection of local ingredients. For breakfast, we found ample choices that kept our energy up for the day's adventures. Regardless of the time, the restaurant was always open, much to our delight after a late afternoon of sledding. The atmosphere, adorned with a charming Christmas tree and family touches, made dining a warm experience. If you appreciate great cuisine in a family-run hotel with a welcoming vibe, this is a spot to consider for your next getaway. A culinary gem amidst the enchanting scenery awaits you!
